Week 8 Blog

There could only be positive consequences for me learning about early childhood on an international level. Even though I was unable to reach any of the international contacts the websites where very informative. The consequences: contact with other educators from the early childhood field, learning many different aspects of early childhood on a worldwide stage, and gaining insights on the issues and trends internationally.

One goal that I would have for the field internationally would bet o keep trying to make early childhood education a top priority for children. Continue to inform others of the life long benefits of an early childhood education, learning starts from the beginning. Reading others interactions with either the podcasts or an international contact was very informative because you can read about them, but actually hearing it from others in the field was good. Everyone was very supportive in with their comments and posts

  1. LaRoyia,

I agree with you that although establishing direct contact with international counterparts is not always easy, we have abundant number of resources to help us gain knowledge about the field through podcasts and experience sharing and through books about EC profession. I share your goal for my career and my personal happiness and together we all can make a true difference!

  2. LaRoyia,
I also had a difficult time contacting someone internationally. I too enjoyed the podcast and websites. I found them very helpful and full of information. I enjoyed reading your blogs this semester.

  3. I too think that making Early Education a top priority for children everywhere is important and necessary. I wish that we could have made contact with our professional resources because the information would have been valuable to our studies. You did a great job this semester.
